We believe that we can contribute to the process of change by providing structure and a program that encourages and support a new design for thinking, feeling, and behaving. Design for Living believes that through multi-systemic counseling approaches we can consistently offer ways for individuals, families, and communities to build new lives. Our mission is to provide assistance including but not limited to: food, clothing, shelter, and education to recovering addicts, alcoholics, homeless, battered women and children, and the illiterate.
Philosophy Statement
Our purpose is to "provide quality substance abuse treatment" to include: Drug/alcohol education, individual therapy, family counseling, process groups, special focus groups on spirituality, anger management, relapse prevention and other recovery services conductive to the recovery process to promote a healthy and productive way of life. Our philosophy is that we believe that the individual is born with unlimited potential and that we provide an environment for that person's potential to be uniquely realized. We will encourage each individual to develop a personalized program that will allow for a high success rate for improving his life.
Admissions Policy
DFLRS program resident who chose to reclaim their lives from substance abuse will begin their path to recovery without any deviations. The residents desire to succeed in their initial attempts to recovery from substance abuse has taught us that it may be challenging just to retain them in treatment long enough to gain the full benefits of the program. DFLRS does not discriminate in its provision of benefits and services to residents on the basis of race, color, age, national origin, religion, sex orientation, or mental or physical disabilities.
