Our Facilities

Peaceful Sanctuary

The Design for Living Recovery Center is located in Southern California, nestled between the serene beautiful desert and mountain range. We are located close enough to the big city for visits but far enough for the temptation of old life habits to remain. The neighborhood setting is quiet and our facilities are beautiful. We believe in the importance of a clean home like a clean mind and respect our space and the space of our clients.

We have both areas for relaxation and therapy. Our onsite group rooms offer a place for everyone to discuss their issues and share openly. We have weekly 12 step groups, educational groups, relapse prevention group, stress/anger management group and family counseling. We offer individual and small group counseling in other settings as well.

Visitors Encouraged

We encourage the family members of our clients to visit because while only one family member is being treated, addiction can be a family disease in which everyone can learn a little bit more about themselves and how to help their loved one. We have many areas perfect for relaxing, chatting and visiting. Families are welcome to come on Family Visiting Day and especially on client graduation days.

Communal Living

We have found communal living something that has proven to be effective for helping clients stay accountable to themselves and each other and it also creates the space for the building of long-term friendships and a support system. Our therapy sessions both individual and group are held close to the living areas to keep everything close together and in balance with itself. Our clients' rooms are private and semi-private depending on the preference of the client. We stick to a family style atmosphere with clean comfortable and beautiful living quarters. Our facility is a secure, safe atmosphere in which recovery can take place and thrive.

Amenities

We have a gym, steamed sauna and pool that all clients are welcome to use during free time. Our backyard is the great outdoors and use of the natural landscape for physical activities such as hiking can also be encouraged. Starting new behaviors such as physical fitness activities can positively contribute to a person's recovery process.
